In the nearly two years that we have been eating this way, I find that gluten free snacks and snack-like foods (i.e. crackers, chips, etc) are hard to find. Well, let me clarify, gluten free snacks can be found, but tasty gluten free snacks are hard to find! Want to serve a dip with gluten free crackers? Don’t forget something to sweep up the crumbs, often they are dry, crumbly and just do not taste all that good. But that is all changing with Crunchmaster! And their name says it all! They are the masters of crunchy, delicious gluten free snacks that will make you happy. More on that, they offer gluten free crackers that are also multi-grain! I received an assortment of gluten free snacks from Crunchmaster in exchange for my honest opinion.
What did I think?
Crunchmaster offers a great variety of gluten free snacks that will make your whole house happy! With whole grain crackers, popped edamame chips and even a line of gluten free crackers for kids – there is literally, something for everyone! I am absolutely adoring everything I received! Let me share with you what I thought!
White Cheddar – These baked crackers are thin, crispy and oh-so-delightful! Miss LadyBug loves having these packed in her lunch as part of her homemade “lunchable” and says that her friends always ask for a nibble! I love them because they have a great cheese flavor that is perfect alone or served with a tasty spread.
Roasted Vegetable – Ohmygoodness! Same texture and style as the White Cheddar gluten free crackers, the Roasted Vegetable ones are great with soups, crumbled on a salad or for making appetizers. I brought these into work with a container of hummus and my coworkers went crazy for them! Next time, I am going to use this simple gluten free snack recipe from Crunchmaster to really impress them!
Gluten-Free Baked Hummus
- 2 – (7 oz.) containers of plain prepared hummus
- 1¼ c. crumbled feta cheese
- 2/3 c. chopped Kalamata olives
- 2/3 c. chopped fresh tomato
- 2 Tbsp. olive oil
- 1 package of Crunchmaster Original Multi-Seed Crackers or your favorite flavor
Spread hummus evenly into an 8×8 inch square baking dish. Sprinkle with feta cheese, making sure to evenly cover the surface. In a separate bowl, gently toss the tomatoes and olives together until blended well. Layer the olive and tomato mixture on top of the feta cheese. Drizzle with 2 Tbsp. olive oil. Bake at 350°F for 15 to 20 minutes. Serve with Crunchmaster gluten free crackers.
Gluten Free Snacks for Kids – Crisps!
Now, while Miss LadyBug definitely loved the Multi-Grain gluten free crackers, I can attest that not all kids will love that – Miss Goose, who is far more particular, preferred the Crunchmaster kids’ line: Crisps. Available in two flavors, Cheezy Crips and Grammy Crisps – these light and airy baked crisps are both gluten-free and peanut-free, making them an excellent snack choice for school! Miss Goose, being my little sweet tooth preferred the Grammy Crisps, declaring them to be like having a sweet treat at snack time. We also loved using them to make miniature Smores for a fun and gluten free twist!
Now, as expected, Miss LadyBug was digging into the Cheezy Crisps. These are lighter in texture than the Multi-Grain White Cheddar crackers and since they do not have the seeds, they are far more kid-friendly! I bring in Miss LadyBug’s snacks each month for her classroom due to her allergy and have found that the Cheezy Crisps are the perfect gluten free snack for school as they are not messy and are super tasty (plus they are still whole grain!).
Give me the crunch! Popped Edamame Chips
Rounding out our delicious snacks from Crunchmaster were their unique Popped Edamame Chips! These delicious, GMO-free chips give you the nutrition value of edamame, while satisfying your crunchy/salty cravings. The light and airy Sea Salt Popped Edamame Chips are perfect for dipping – we loved them especially with guacamole! In addition to being gluten-free, the edamame chips from Crunchmaster are also cholesterol free and saturated fat free!
The surprising winner in flavor here was the Wasabi Soy Popped Edamame Chip! I will admit, I was a lot hesitant and even more worried about how this would taste. I do not love wasabi even when out for sushi, but these chips surprised me! They were flavorful and gave you that immediate kick of wasabi, but cooled quickly, allowing you to enjoy the flavor of the chip. The crispy chip is the perfect delivery method for this flavor and I have been enjoying them as an afternoon snack!
If you are looking for delicious and wholesome gluten free snacks, look no further than Crunchmaster! You can eat them as snacks, serve them as appetizers and even cook with them! Don’t forget to check them out on Facebook and Twitter to find out about new products, savings and more!
