A couple of months ago, I started juicing to help my weight loss process. I would make a great juice with kale, spinach, carrots, apples and oranges (and a touch of ginger!) each day to get my day off to the right start. But I always thought it was strange that my juicer would fill with this pile of mush that I threw away – and I wondered about the nutrients I might be missing by the “mush” not being included. Well ladies and gents, I have a new and more satisfying way to get those nutrients, eliminate the “mush” waste from juicers and that tastes great, too! The NutriBullet system is a revolutionary system that extracts nutrients and vitamins from produce by using everything you put into the blending cup! I received a NutriBullet system in exchange for my honest opinion.
What did I think?
The NutriBullet system is so easy to use right from the box (after a quick warm, soapy water bath, of course!). If you want to make a super charged smoothie, known in the NutriBullet world as a NutriBlast, you literally load up your cup in a 50-50 split of greens and fruits/veggies. Add some “boosters” (nuts, seeds, herbs, etc) and then add some water. Attach the blade cap, put into the blender base and you are ready to make fresh, organic extracted smoothies in mere seconds!
Now what does extracted mean? It means taking the raw food and turning it into a quick to use liquid, while maintaining the nutritional value. Because the food is already broken down for you, you will be able to absorb and process the nutrients that much faster! Not to mention, the NutriBullet system is not kicking any “mush” out, so every part of the ingredients you put in, is used! I have made several NutriBlasts and am loving how tasty, fast and wonderful they are! My current favorite is my Lean & Green Strawana NutriBlast – while it is green, it has a beautifully sweet and nutty flavor that I love and so do my kiddos! I also tossed in a tablespoon of chia seeds to really back a nutritional wallop!
I have noticed since switching from juicing to extracting with the NutriBullet system that I am feeling more energized and overall healthier. I am also eating less since the NutriBlast smoothies fill me up more than a simple liquid juice did. The NutriBlasts are a bit creamier, giving it a decadent twist and definitely filling you up more, without any additional calories! Be sure to learn more about the NutriBullet system and how you can change your life with the addition of these tasty NutriBlasts on Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest. Other good news? The NutriBullet can also be used to make soups, dips, dressing and even homemade ice cream – so this system will take the place of many small kitchen appliances, very quickly!
