I do not know about you, but with all the crazy chemicals in processed foods these days, I like to make as much of my own food from scratch as possible. That being said, I still want to do it in an efficient and timely manner. Take soup for example, many times this can take hours, but I really love soup! Unfortunately, many cans of soup are chockfull of things like monosodium glutamate (MSG), high fructose corn syrup and other things that I just do not care to introduce to my body. The awesome people over at Magic Bullet sent me a Magic Bullet Blender set to try out in exchange for my honest review! I am so excited to share with you the amazing things you can make with this small, easy-to-use and fast blender!
The Magic Bullet is the busy mom’s dream come true. This is especially true if you have picky eaters in your house. Now, I do not make a habit of accommodating every request my children make when it comes to food, however, there are certain things that I make that they have given multiple tries and they simply do not like it. One of those things happens to fall when we do soup and sandwiches. My youngest loves black bean soup and my oldest loves creamy tomato. They have each given the other’s favorite a try (or 10!) and have decided they just do not like it. Instead of forcing them to sit at the table “until you finish” similar to how our parents ran things, I do work with them on the soup. For a while, this resulted in me having multiple containers of leftover soup stored in the fridge that would fall and spill, or get pushed back and forgotten. Wasted money. That is all a distant memory now that we have the Magic Bullet Blender! I can easily mix up instant, homemade soup for each of them in just minutes! Fortunately, we live near a farmer’s market, so I regularly pick up ingredients like tomatoes, beans and fresh herbs.
Creamy Tomato Soup (individual serving)
- 1 cup fresh tomatoes, diced
- 1 teaspoon butter
- ¼ cup broth
- Chopped Basil, approx ¼ teaspoon
- Coconut milk (slightly more than a splash will do!)
What do I do now? Put tomatoes, butter and broth into the Tall Magic Bullet cup – steam in the microwave for 1-2 minutes (depending on your voltage), remove carefully as this will be hot. Add in the dash of coconut milk and basil. Using the Magic Bullet Cross Blade, blend to a creamy, smooth consistency! Remove the blade and enjoy right from the cup for a soup on the go or pour into a bowl and enjoy!
What’s great about this is, you can do this with nearly any soup recipe, broccoli cheddar, bacon potato – the list goes on and on!
I love how easy the Magic Bullet Blender is to use to make versatile recipes for my family and even for our friends when they come over! I had a little get together and my friends were amazed when I was able to make fresh, custom margaritas for each of them quickly and easily! Throw in your fruit, ice and liquor – quick blend, put on a Comfort Lip Ring on the cup and you are ready to fiesta!
The Magic Bullet Blender is super fast and super easy to use! In fact, it is so easy to use that our six year old is already becoming a pro at it. We watch her closely with the blades, but she is coming up with new smoothie recipes nearly every day to enjoy with her breakfast. This morning she blended two ripe bananas, two tablespoons of peanut butter, about a cup of ice and a handful of mini chocolate chips to make a delicious smoothie that was full of vitamins and protein!
The Magic Bullet now also has a juicing attachment and a top loading blender attachment! These handy accessories allow you to make things like homemade mayonnaise (hooray!) and powerful, antioxidant-rich juices to get you going!
