I have told you many times before how we love to play board games and party games with our friends and family. In fact, we host a monthly game night with our friends, where for the first half of the night we play board games that are kid-friendly and then we send them off to watch a movie and then the more adult focused party games come out to play! Many times these are games of strategy or involve complex math that are just too technical for our younger kids, but lately, we have been getting into party games that result in a lot of fun and laughter. If you have ever played Apples to Apples™ or Cards Against Humanity™ you know exactly what I am talking about. We received Punchline – an all new party game that will result in laughter, groaning and head scratching, all in the same round!
What did I think?
Punchline is a party game with a simple enough concept: write a funny joke – so funny that your fellow players vote for your joke so you can claim the card. The player with the most cards at the end of the night is the winner. This game comes with 125 cue cards with varying joke cues from the punchline of a joke, where you provide the joke to limericks and missing pieces. What I like about Punchline is, this game truly is one that can bend to being family friendly, or getting saucy/silly with the right crowd. Unlike other card party games that we own, the cards themselves are all clean and they only become sassy if your mind takes you there!
That being said, with our group of friends, our minds went there! The game plays quickly and can even be played throughout the evening between other activities – just grab a card and play a quick round!
With 125 cards, you get a lot of gameplay and even if the card comes up again – it usually results in different laughs. That being said, Punchline does offer a “booster pack” that will bump up the funny factor with an additional 75 cue cards!
If you are looking for a great card party game that you can play with the whole family for laughs – I recommend checking out Punchline. This game is hilarious, easy to play and will guarantee you laughing with (or at!) your friends and their attempts at being funny. Learn more about Punchline on Facebook and Twitter!
