Our oldest daughter is a huge basketball fan. You would not know it from looking at her though. She is the girliest girl – wearing glitter, bows and pink dresses whenever possible. Hand that girl a basketball and at almost six, she will teach you some basketball skills. She has some spot on dribbling skills and has a mean free throw potential. When we added a basketball hoop to our backyard this last spring, Miss Goose was probably more excited than hubby was! She will happily go outside at night to work on her skills and “shoot hoops”. Her favorite thing to do though? Play PIG or HORSE. Since she is still young, remembering her place can be tricky, so we have found a great way to help her remember and have more fun as a family when we shoot hoops together! The GameDay Scoreboard is an electronic basketball score-keeping device that I received in exchange for my honest opinion.
What did I think?
The GameDay Scoreboard is a fun and innovative way to keep your friendly backyard games of basketball honest and scored. Think that someone fouled you while you were in the paint? Press the electronic ref and abide by the call. Sometimes you may agree, other times you may wonder what his prescription is on those glasses! The GameDay Scoreboard attached easily to our basketball hoop and the Velcro strap is completely adjustable ensuring that it will accommodate most hoops out there. My girls love the lights and sounds such as pigs and horses and an exuberant crowd. The scoreboard also features a blue light LED backlight that allows you to play into the night with no problem. With 10 preprogrammed gaming options, the GameDay Scoreboard is sure to keep everyone in your group coming back for more. I know that in our family, it has heated up the competition as we now have become more aware of who is scoring and who is not!
The GameDay Scoreboard is a fun way to introduce basketball to younger kids, keep older kids engaged in play and promote healthy competition among adults. I love it’s easy to use design and at $35 it is the perfect gift for the basketball player in your family!
