My girls LOVE to play on my phone and iPad whenever they get a chance. With so many apps, e-books and games out there, it hard to sift through them all to find ones that are good for kids, have educational value and are a good value for the price. I recently learned about Fanny Foozle, a free app available for free on iTunes and Google Play about a town called Flamboozle filled with fun and unique characters. I downloaded the app for my girls on our iPad and am excited to not only share this review with you, but also to giveaway the hardcopy version of Fanny Foozle to THREE Savory Savings readers!
What did I think?
Fanny Foozle is a jelly bean-looking character that loves alliteration, singing and playing with her best friends, Fenelope and Dumple. She has a Foodle dog named Sam and goes on many adventures! She starts out with a catchy tune, that soon you will not be able to stop singing or creating your own verses!
After the jazzy intro, you head right into the first Fanny Foozle story! I love that the e-book portion of Fanny Foozle can be read to the children, or read alone either by the child or out loud. The narrator of the book is enthusiastic and demonstrates appropriate tone changes and emotion that I think is great for encouraging children to learn to read with animation. Each page can be interacted with in silly ways that are sure to make kids giggle! At the end of the e-book (or you can skip ahead), your children will find a few fun games (including a matching game!) and coloring pages.
My girls think Fanny Foozle is wonderful! She is pink, has a dog named Sam and sings a catchy tune. When Fanny loses Sam, they wished they could cry pink tears with her until Sam was found. If you are looking for a fun, free app to try with your kids, I definitely recommend Fanny Foozle! Learn more about Fanny Foozle on Facebook and Twitter!
In addition to this interactive Fanny Foozle app, there is a hardcopy book about Fanny and her friends in Flamboozle. Three lucky Savory Savings readers will each win a copy! Enter with the Giveaway Tool below. The giveaway will run from July 20,2013 through August 3, 2013 at 11 PM CST.
