Since she was a baby, Miss LadyBug has been my cuddly girl.  The one who really, super loved being swaddle, held tightly and snuggled into blankets.  This has carried on with her and even now, the kiddo cannot sleep without a blanket.  At school, they take naps and we need to send a nap mat in, the problem is, many are just a mat, no blanket and counting on a small child to keep track of their mat, blanket and maybe a pillow (plus getting the teacher to agree to storing all that!) can be tricky.  So when we received the beautiful, quilted nap mat from Janiebee, I knew we had a winning combination!

Janiebee Quilted Nap Mat

What did I think of the handmade, quilted nap mat from Janiebee?

First, let me say: these nap mats are beautiful!  I want one in my size!  The high-quality nap mats are made with durable fabrics that will last, and even better: can be washed!   I love how many different styles and options that are available on Janiebee for both girls and boys – you can even customize it in patterns of your choice, or by adding a beautiful nameplate to ensure your child doesn’t mix up their nap mat with someone else!

For my Miss LadyBug, we went with the Hollywood Glitter quilted nap mat.  This fun and vibrant nap mat features a mix of her favorite types of prints: polka dots, chevron, damask and lots of pink!  These prints all are visually exciting, yet go together well when quilted together – it really is lovely!  The mat itself is about two inches thick and is made with cotton batting (again, so you can wash and dry it!).  This batting makes it a comfortable and cushy sleeping space that Miss LadyBug loves.  We have had other nap mats in the past, but they had that horrible chemical/plastic smell that made her struggle to get comfortable because of both the smell and the lack of comfort.

Her favorite part though, has to be the pillow and blanket combination!  This cozy pillow is removable (again – ease of washing – LOVE!) and adds just the right touch of home to the mat, so she can fall asleep quickly and comfortably!  We both couldn’t get enough of the double –thick minky that acts as both a pillow case and the attached blanket.  It is just so SOFT!  But what I really love about the blanket is the width.  It is actually wider than the nap mat itself, so that when under the blanket, it will still fully cover your little one.  We had bought a nap mat in the past that had a “blanket” attached, but it was same width as the mat and resulted in part of her being uncovered the entire time.

Aside from amazing style and super comfort, Janiebee quilted nap mats stand out for their function.  These nap mats roll up easily and are secured with fabric tie closures that make it easy to put your nam mat away when not in use.

Added function bonus: there is a shoulder strap!  So now Miss LadyBug can be independent and carry her nap mat wherever she needs it (usually for a little “sleepover” in her sister’s room!)

The Verdict

We love the quilted nap mats from Janiebee!  They are cute, comfortable and functional – a definite must have!  Miss LadyBug is more willing to take her naps without any fuss with this mat as she is comfortable and loves the way it looks!  I will definitely be looking at these for gifts for my nieces and nephews!  Learn more about all of the nap mats and blankets available from Janiebee on Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest!
